Digital Love embarked on an all-encompassing photo and video project for the Eliza Jane, a boutique hotel in New Orleans, as part of Hyatt's Unbound Collection. This project aimed to highlight the essence of the hotel's unique charm, capturing lifestyle, food, and beverage scenes through high-quality visual content. Our collaboration with Eliza Jane involved extensive pre-production work, including talent sourcing, styling, and detailed planning to ensure every aspect of the hotel's character was brought to life visually, and in just four days, Digital Love did just that.
The Eliza Jane Hotel, known for its industrial-romantic design and European sensibility, stands out as a unique property in New Orleans. Formally a print factory, the hotel is rich in history and character, blending vintage aesthetics with modern luxury. The client sought to capture this distinctive atmosphere and appeal to both a local and global audience.
The primary objective was to create visually stunning assets that reflect the hotel's vibrant interiors and its dynamic food and beverage program at the hotel bar and restaurant, Couvant. The client wanted the visual content to convey a sense of life and vibrancy, emphasizing the hotel's strong local connection within New Orleans. Additionally, the assets were intended for the hotel's rebranding efforts, to be featured on their website, in digital marketing materials, and on social media platforms.
During the pre-production phase, our team worked closely with the client to develop an extensive shot list that included capturing guest experiences, check-in, guest rooms, fine dining, wedding and event concepts, and iconic New Orleans sights. We sourced talent, arranged wardrobe, makeup, and styling, and assembled a skilled production team, including Lisa and Sam, our lead photographer and videographer. Despite the project's scale, our small team handled all aspects of the shoot, ensuring every detail was meticulously planned and executed within a tight four-day timeline.
One of the standout moments from the shoot was the bar scene at the Eliza Jane's Press Room bar. We scheduled the shoot to capture the natural sunlight streaming through the lobby rafters, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our lighting director enhanced this with additional ambient lighting, while our models and bartender performed a dynamic scene of crafting custom cocktails. The rich colors and cozy atmosphere captured in this scene make viewers feels as if they are right there, enjoying a classic New Orleans cocktail.
The guest room and lobby shots were also highlights, showcasing the Eliza Jane's unique blend of history and luxury. Vibrant colors, mid-century modern furniture, and distinctive architectural elements were all captured to reflect the hotel's upscale yet approachable vibe, appealing to a diverse clientele from business travelers to couples on a romantic getaway.
The photos and videos produced for the Eliza Jane Hotel have been utilized across multiple channels, including the hotel's website, digital campaign, and social media. These visual assets effectively convey the hotel's unique charm and appeal, driving engagement and attracting new guests. The strategic use of high-quality images and videos enhances the hotel's digital presence, aligning with the Hyatt's broader marketing strategy.
